Flock v1.0

Yeah, I know. I haven’t been blogging here for awhile and I should. I find I’ve been all over the internet of sorts trying to catch up with whatever social networks I am a member of, trying to clean them up a bit and well, basically spending time with each of them. I have made a lot of good friends in each of those sites and for the past year had neglected the connections I had made.

I should be so lucky if any one of them still remember me or would even reply back to my posts. At least I can start from scratch again.

Now that I am living in Germany I realized that my Social Network has become an invaluable source for to me to keep my sanity together. At least there are people there that I’ve known for quite some time. They are familiar to me and in a time that is so unfamiliar it sure feels nice to have them there – just a click and login screen away.

Still waiting for my Work Permit. Still working on the df site … I still keep changing the templates .. as I am not satisfied with the ones I have downloaded – over 50 at least~!

I am waiting to perhaps try out iJoomla’s magazine or news component. Still not sure.

It is getting colder here. I have been lucky that the weather has held up a bit but with November now here my luck is sure to run out. It is still layers for me. I did purchase a brown sweater like dress? for 12 euro that I have been wearing daily for the past 2.5 weeks now. I still have not washed it. Don’t need to unless I spill something on it. As it is, I wear a black long sleeved top with it so the underarms have not yet tainted the brown sweater dress. I also bought a wear of black leggings – they are not as thick as I would prefer for a winter weather but I wear that with my black yoga tights thingy .. and my black pants that I too have been wearing constantly since I’ve been here. I even wore these pants on the plane down here.

I’ve met a few other people here that speak English. 2 are from Frankfurt that can converse in English. They are not native speakers so there are still words and phrases that do not get understood or need to be explained. Two others are from London, England and the conversations with these people are exactly how I would like be able to use my English – in debate.

I have also (finally) started that web log for the Canadian Cafe Network in Frankfurt Group that I formed from the CanuckAbroad.Com site. We have four members so far and I am sure that by the end of November a few more will have signed up.

Oh, and I also purchased a webcam so I will resume vblogging (to replace podcasting). I am really excited since its’ uses will certainly be ten fold. I did my first LIVE Broadcast to the online world with 44 viewers. Not sure if they stayed to watch the broadcast in its entirety but I am not so concerned right now about numbers. I just need to get back into the swing of things – before I start to really market the broadcasts.

The df.eu site – and the team is starting to form. We just need to all be on the same page as to what software we use for certain things that we will be needing in order to maintain our site.

I am really excited about the ‘femme’s’ +1 that have gone on board. I also appreciate the time and efforts that they will be devoting to our site. I know that this will be quite successful – the team is extraodinary.

That’s all for now in terms of updates. Oh.. and I put on like 5 kilograms – that’s 10 and some odd pounds. I am calling it my ‘winter layers’!
