August went extremely slow for me. I’m not sure it that was good or bad. I’m still recovering.
Mind you, I can’t quite complain about my ’state of affairs’. As it is, I am doing (well, on that path, hopefully) what I want to do, which is to be in control of my own time and to be creative as a source of income*.
An entrepreneur’s life to me is certainly one of ‘unchartered territory’. Unchartered because I have never tread this path before. I understand that in very many ways it can be a ‘do or die’ which in this case, I intend to live.
I no longer have to believe that the 3D platform will be the way of the future because it is already here. In 2007 alone, two important events will occur in the month of October: the Virtual World Conference in San Jose (Oct. 10 – 11) and the Virtual World Forum in London, Eng. (Oct. 23 – 26). Once these events are over, important teams will be formed, comprised of global corporations, education institutions, business entrepreneur’s, organizations for whatever cause – that will lead the rest of the mainstream world into the era of ‘metaverses‘.
Well enough plugging for metaverses. It WILL happen whether people know about it, accept it or believe in it.
Here’s a quickie update for the month of August, minus the drama.
1. Still getting acclimated.
2. Lots of ‘esoteric’ work – I am definitely a masterpiece in progress.
- learning to let go of ‘control’
- learning to release past hurt, anger, guilt (that I didn’t know I still had and that manifests itself in strange ways.
- learning to ‘feel’ independent and ‘worthy’ in a situation where I am not in my element
- learning to very slowly understand, osmose and speak (one – two words) of German
- started (again) a df site
- continuing to work with Virtuocity.jp for commissioned 3D builds in Second Life
- started (again) to build the df brand in Second Life
- still waiting to here from the Foreigner’s Office in regards to my ‘freelance’ work permit
- spoke to a couple of cafe/restaurant owners about writing articles for their establishments
- trying to remember the zen saying, “I am where I need to be.”
